Kenneth W. Revels has taught at Mercer University since 1997, both as an adjunct professor for four years and full time since August 2001. He served as Chair of the College of Professional Advancement (then called Penfield College) Executive Committee 2013-14; Interim Director of the College of Professional Advancement's Office of Distance Learning 2013-present; Chair of the Information Systems Department 2001 – 2008. I received the Excellence in Teaching Award 2011-2012. He became a Governor’s Teaching Fellow 2007 – 2008 and implemented ODL Faculty Fellowship 2013-14 and 2014-15.
Dr. Revels served four years in the United States Marine Corps. Afterwards, he studied at University of West Georgia (BBA 1982), Keller Graduate School of Management (MBA 1997), and Nova Southeastern University (Ph.D. 2001). All three of his degrees are in Information Systems. University of West GA 1982 Division-III National Football Championship Team Member. Before coming to Mercer, he gained over 15 years of Information Systems development and management experience in Organ transplantation and donation at Emory University Hospital, Piedmont Hospital, Egleston Hospital, and LifeLink of Georgia.
