Informatics Club

The Informatics Club at Mercer University’s College of Professional Advancement is open to all students with an interest in technology. Students in the Club are involved in organizing and hosting Mercer’s annual Informatics Day, an event for students to meet professionals from a variety of technology fields as well as Mercer alumni.

The Informatics Club currently has limited activities due to COVID-19.

UX Club

Mercer University’s User Experience (UX) Club is comprised of students interested in user experience, human-computer interaction design, and user-centered software design and development. In past years, the Club has been involved in hosting Mercer’s annual Informatics Day. At the 2017 event, the UX Club and the Informatics Club offered free website design and user experience evaluation services. Additionally, Mercer students, faculty, and staff were able to provide their personal computers for free diagnostic testing and repair.

The UX Club currently has limited activities due to COVID-19.

Upsilon Pi Epsilon

Upsilon Pi Epsilon (UPE) is an international honor society that recognizes academic excellence at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in the computing and information disciplines. UPE is the first and only international honor society in these disciplines. The honor society is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS) and has received endorsements from the two largest international computer organizations, the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Computer Society (IEEE-CS).
