Student Resources
The College of Professional Advancement strives to equip students with the resources they need throughout their course of study and beyond. Our focus on student success remains paramount as we work to help busy and working adults achieve their higher education goals.
Canvas LMS Student Orientation for Online and Blended Learning Success
The Director of Instructional and Learning Design in the College of Professional Advancement developed and maintains an orientation program designed to prepare undergraduate and graduate students for success in blended and online courses. This self-paced orientation, administered by College of Professional Advancement faculty through their Canvas courses, helps students ready themselves and their technology for the unique demands of these course formats. Students are encouraged to complete the orientation early in their academic journey to better understand the distinctions between course delivery modalities, adopt best practices for learning in digital environments, and gain hands-on experience with key Canvas tools and university-supported applications. The program supports a smooth transition into online learning and promotes long-term student success.
