About the College
The College of Professional Advancement continues a long-term commitment of serving working adults seeking professional advancement into leadership roles in and beyond their communities through distinctive interdisciplinary undergraduate and graduate degree programs that merge theory and practice in unique ways.
The College currently enrolls more than 1,300 students in undergraduate, graduate, professional and workforce development certificate programs. The College’s faculty and professional support staff are committed to offering quality-learning experiences. The personal attention and support enables nontraditional learners to achieve their educational and career goals.
The College of Professional Advancement offers programs through in-person, interactive classes on Mercer’s campuses and centers in Atlanta, Macon, Douglas County, and Henry County. Hybrid and online classes are also available.
Areas of study in the College include organizational leadership, counseling, school counseling, communication, human services, human resources, informatics, public safety leadership, psychology, and liberal studies. The College also offers general education and elective courses for various colleges and schools at Mercer.
