Kristina Henderson has been a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor for over 22 years, a Georgia Licensed Professional Counselor since 2001, and a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor since 2014. Dr. Henderson is an Assistant Professor and the Program Coordinator for the Master of Science in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling in the Department of Counseling of the College of Professional Advancement. Dr. Henderson earned her Ph.D. in Counseling and Student Development with an emphasis in Counselor Education and Supervision at Kansas State University. She received a Master of Rehabilitation Counseling and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Kentucky.

Dr. Henderson worked for the Department of the Army, for the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency, and in Counseling and Disability Services within the University System of Georgia before shifting focus to academia. She has a strong a drive for preparing others to become leaders in the field as well as passion for rehabilitation counseling and the environmental and attitudinal challenges faced by persons with disabilities.
