Dr. Ramya Tekumalla is a scientist deeply engaged in mining large unstructured data sources and curating domain-specific data. She employs an array of techniques from machine learning, statistics, natural language processing, and inference analysis to collect data and generate insights. Having mined over 16 billion Tweets for NLP tasks, Dr. Tekumalla has provided valuable insights for various applications, including pharmacovigilance and characterizing the COVID-19 pandemic.

With seven years of experience as an engineer, she has proficiently used Python, Bash, SQL, Java, JavaScript, and NLP tools to develop pipelines for acquiring, preprocessing, annotating, and standardizing data. Driven by the ambition to reduce annotation efforts and foster impactful innovations, she is dedicated to releasing all her work under open-source licenses in accordance with the FAIR data sharing principles.
