Suneetha B. Manyam, PhD, LPC, CRC, CPCS, NCC, is a professor with 13 years of teaching, and 11 years of clinical and 12 years of research experience in the counseling field. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor with National Counselor Certification. She is also a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor. Dr. Manyam coauthors and administers Rehabilitative Service Administration Long -Term Training grants from the department and also federal grants from India. Her research and pedagogical interests include Meditation and Self Care Techniques for Counselor Wellness, Microaggressions of minority individuals especially South Indian Americans, International Counseling, Acculturation and Immigration Issues, Trauma and Resilience, Marriage and Minority Family Counseling, and research methods in counseling.

Dr. Manyam is an expert at qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methodologies. She is considered as the statistician of the department and serves on several doctoral dissertation and curriculum committees. As a co-chair of Diversity and Equity Council and a Region IV representative from the National Council on Rehabilitation Education (NCRE), Dr. Manyam advocates for the Minority Issues and Social Justice of Individuals with Disabilities. She regularly serves as grant reviewer for the Rehabilitative Service Administration and as a site visit team member for Council for Accreditation on Counseling and Related Programs (CACREP). She also regularly presents at national and international conferences and had 16 scientific publications in peer reviewed journals. Dr. Manyam received the 2009 outstanding new advisor award from National Academic Advisor Association. She served on the Board for Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia. Dr. Manyam also serves on the editorial board for the Counseling Outcome and Research Evaluation journal, The Practitioner Scholar: Journal of Counseling and Professional Psychology.
